Invitation April Bitesize Birth

Bitesize Birth - The Outlet of the Pelvis and Emergence of the Baby

Wednesday April 5th 7.30pm GMT on zoom

Reader difficulty in emergence of the baby is when often unecessary and unwanted stress and interventions like forceps, ventouse, episotomy and cesarean occur. As well as one of the biggest worries for expectant parents, tearing. What if you had tools in your tool kit to help your clients avoid unecessary intervention and tearing? Well come and join us for April's Bitesize birth and you will!

Remember there is loads of free information and descriptions of helpful techniques on my website www.theserenitydoula.co.uk/techniques

Join me on Wed April 5th at 7.30pm GMT for this month's Bitesize Birth session about helping at the outlet. Simple and effective things that can be done to help understand, recognise and support the anatomy and physiology of birth with an emphasis on active labour and the baby being at the outlet of the pelvis. We will cover:

The physiology of the last part of the birth of the baby

The relevant anatomy for the emergence of the baby

How we can support the physiology and anatomy of the emergence part of labour

Tips to recognise where in labour the person is without invasive examinations AND how to tell where the baby is.

The biomechanics of different positions and techniques and how they help or hinder the emergence phase of birth

Evidence based information about the biomechanincs of different postures and how they affect the available space in the pelvis.

A chance to discuss and explore cases in a safe and supportive space

The session includes lots of images of instinctual postures and clear information about positions and techniques you can use to help support the physiology and anatomy of the emergence phase of birth.

You can book via online secure payment stripe, £10 via my paypal @theserenitydoula or by scanning the QR codes below (Blue for stripe and white for paypal). Or you can book via Eventbrite.

Hope to see you at Bitesize Birth in April where you can learn to help prevent further intervention and to facilitate physiological, vaginal birth.

Remember if you can't make it in person, don't worry. Book and you will recieve a link to the recording of the session. You can always email me any questions in advance and I will answer them on the day.

Do email with subjects you would like covered in Bitesize Birth. Next month I will be covering Pelvic Girdle pain, what to do to help your cliens, when to refer them. It will include a free pdf of helpful exercises and tips.

If you would like to sign up to never miss a Bitesize Lecture, you can do so here.

I have some in person courses coming up, so watch this space for booking details and also a free colaborative lecture with Sophie Messager the author of "why postnatal recovery matters". I'll send the booking details and date out for this soon when all of the details are confirmed!

Wishing you Serenity in your work and life,

Shellie
